QWAD Movember Raffle Winners

Hello all, please see below the winners of the main raffles prizes during the QWAD Movember 2013 quiz:

Movember Dodgeball Team

DWAD gets behind Movember and enters a team into the Movember tournament at the Powerleague, Old Street, London. The event is on Monday the 25th of November and commences at 7pm. Full team details to be revealed Monday morning.

Super10 October Update

Super10 results are in for October. Peter Weller has got to the dizzy heights of first place with his team "Dizzy Heights". However, Peter Weller has to share first place with the Tilmanstone Salads' resident football expert James Denne and his team "I dont want to win this". Keep going like this Mr. Denne and you may not get what you want and end up winning the whole thing!


Super10 Cup 1st Round Results

The results for the first round of the Super10 Cup are in. With so many teams still in the competition I won't list all the winners and losers here but click the link below and see if you are still in with a chance of winning the first ever DWAD Cup.

If you did make it through to the second round then good luck getting into the third round. If you were knocked out then I suppose you can concentrate on the league :)


Movember Quiz Fun

Super10 September Update

Super10 results are in for September. Congratulations go to Stuart Goodson and his team "Weresolventatlast" who managed to take first prize for September. Scoot Dawtry and his team "ATM" snuck into second place, good work. Click below to see the full details.


Howletts 5k 2013 Update

Congratulations to Kevin Stacey and Alan Tingey who have raised in excess of £200 for The Aspinall Foundation.

They completed a 5k charity fun run around Howletts Zoo in just over 27 minutes and are already looking forward to beating that time in next year's run.


Howletts 5k 2013

This Sunday Kevin Stacey and Alan Tingey, a.k.a. "Ticketyboo", do a 5k charity fun run around Howletts Zoo. They aim to raise as much money as possible for the Aspinall Foundation.

The Aspinall Foundation is a registered charity that is actively involved with several projects at their Kent based Howletts and Port Lympne wild animal parks, in addition to overseas projects.


Stand and Deliver

Co-Founder Paul Tingey used one of his local comedy nights, Stand and Deliver, to raise £116.80 for Stephanie Rees, aged 9. Stephanie is raising money for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Trust and The Rainbow Child Foundation. Good luck Stephanie; enjoy your fund raising.


Upcoming Quiz

Autumn is upon us which can only mean one thing. It must be quiz time! The date is currently pencilled in as Friday the 29th of November. More details to follow.


Super10 August Update

Super10 results are in for August. Congratulations go to Colin Anderson whose aptly named team "One Month Wonder" managed to take first prize for August. Being a charity king, Colin has agreed to give his winnings to charity. Top man. Terry Tingey and his equally aptly named team "One Month Only" achieved second place. Super10 2013/14 Begins

I am pleased to announce that we have 181 entries for Super10 this season, the most entries ever. Good luck.


Red Eagle Trek 50

Well done to the Red Eagle team who took part in the MedEquip4Kids Trek 50 event and raised over £2.8k. Trek 50 is a sponsored trek across the Pennines with all proceeds raised going towards MedEquip4Kids. During this challenge they trekked 50 miles in under 24 hours with a height gain equivalent to that of climbing Ben Nevis and Snowdon!


May Quiz

The quiz night was another roaring success and raised £1,200. The money on this occasion will be handed over to Red Eagle for their Trek 50 challenge on 23rd of June. They look to raise over £2,000 for MedEquip4Kids so why not hit the button below and sponsor them?


Stand and Deliver

Paul Tingey used his March Stand and Deliver comedy night to raise money for this year's Comic Relief.

Paul raised £238 by dancing to a medley in an intriguing choice of clothing.
