Super10 - New Season

The 2014/15 football season was the biggest so far for our charity fantasy football game, Super10. Dariusz Klimek emerged as the deserved winner, earning £100 for himself and another £100 for his chosen charity, Pilgrims Hospices. Funds were also won for Demelza, Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, and Porchlight, thanks to the efforts of Shaun Meadows, Mark Harbottle and Dariusz again. In additon, several hundred pounds went into the DWAD grant fund.

Already our attention has turned to the upcoming 2015/16 football season and we are aiming to make Super10 much bigger still. We have more than doubled the size of the prize pool for the new season to over £1,000. In addition we have increased the amount of money players can win for their nominated charities by 40% - we will now be paying out cash prizes and matched charity donations for the overall top 10 instead of just the top 4. The biggest prize increases are for the manager of the month contests; these now pay out £50 for the winner and £20 for the runner-up each month, up from £15 and £5 last season.

We've also made improvements to the game itself. It's still the same low-hassle alternative to traditional fantasy football but now you have more teams to pick from - we've added the English National League (formerly the Conference) and the Scottish Premiership. And if you get off to a slow start, you no longer have to wait until the January transfer window to fix things as we've added a second, earlier window in October.

Super10 exists as a fun way to raise funds for good causes. The more people we get to play, the more money we raise. We want to encourage you to invite all your friends to play. This season we are allowing you to set-up your own invitation-only mini-leagues so you can compete directly against friends and colleagues. As a further incentive to invite people to join, we are offering rewards for referring new players. For every 10 new players you get to sign-up we'll give you a free entry. We have a special prize for those who go above and beyond and recruit 50 players or more - a framed shirt signed by the legendary Pelé (if only one person achieves 50+ referrals they will win the shirt automatically, otherwise there will be a draw to determine who is the winner).

The entry fee remains £5 and once again we are offering a special offer of 3 entries for £10. Registration is open now and you can change your selections as many times as you like up until the deadline on Sunday 16th August 2015 so there's no reason to delay. Sign-up today, set-up your own league and then start inviting everybody you know. With your help we can make this the best ever fund-raising year for Super10.
