Sports Activities for Leonard Cheshire Residents

Donations With A Difference trustee Will Chan visited Leonard Cheshire Disability's Chipstead facility yesterday to present the organisation with a cheque for one thousand pounds.

The £1,000 will pay for the activities for the Kent Active project. Leonard Cheshire Disability will deliver 24 weeks of sports activities which will be available to all of their Chipstead residents and day service users to participate in, allowing them to pick and choose which activities they would like to do.

This is broken down as:

  • 12 sessions of boxing activities (once a week) in the first set of 12 weeks
  • 12 sessions of trampolining (once a week) in the second set of 12 weeks
  • 17 sessions of boccia (once a week) over 17 weeks within the 24 week parameter

DWAD is only able to provide grants to deserving projects such as this thanks to your support for our many fund-raising events throughout the year. Our next events are our latest Quiz With A Difference on Friday 27th March and the third edition of the DWAD EMS Cup 5-a-side football tournament on Saturday 25th April.
