About Donations With A Difference

We are a charitable grant-making trust (reg. charity no. 1157927) that works to alleviate physical impairment, poor mental health, and homelessness in Kent. We organise and host fundraising events throughout the year to allow us to respond to the many grant  applications we receive. Set up in 2013, we have now raised over £157K since our inception. With your help, we aim to continue providing grants to those in Kent that need our help.

Alan Tingey

Alan co-created Donations With A Difference along with his brother Paul. When he is not indulging in some sporting activity he enjoys nothing more than coming up with weird and wonderful ways of rasing money for charity. Alan is often heard saying "Do nice things for nice people".

Cheryl Causebrook

Cheryl is a freelance construction consultant and passionate about helping others in and out of the industry. She loves organising people and events and bringing people together. She has coordinated many volunteer projects. Cheryl joins Donations With A Difference as a trustee to increase the range of fundraising into new areas – no pressure!

Simon Gretton

Simon loves his sport and comedy and these have featured in plenty of his fund-raising activities and they remain at the core of the ideas generated for Donations With A Difference events we now host. As an accountant, Simon is responsible for all financial control and ensures all charities receive the funds you help us raise.

Sharon Bowles

Sharon joined our board of trustees after learning about the great work we do. She brings a skillset that allows us to increase our online presence through digital marketing. She is joint owner of a marketing agency and is passionate about the work we do, so is keen to help us raise awareness of Donations With a Difference and promote our fund raising efforts.

Ella Brocklebank

Ella Brocklebank

Ella is Head of Communications & Business Development for Jenner Group as well as Chair of the Kent Construction Focus Group, promoting local excellence in the construction industry.

With her background in Marketing, Ella hopes to raise the profile of Donations With A Difference, especially within the local construction industry as well as utilising her passion for running to create additional funds.

Will Chan

Will Chan

Will joined Donations With A Difference because he wanted to make a difference by helping raise money for good causes. He brings to the organisation a wealth of fund-raising experience which started over 25 years ago at school. In addition to this, he also founded and chaired two Investment Clubs and has run successful fantasy football leagues since 2001. Spurs supporter...for his sins!

Aimee Clayton

Aimee brings with her a dynamic approach and fresh ways of thinking. As the Events and Marketing Manager for Jenner Group her creativity, passion and dedication will be shared in her position as a trustee and add huge value and flare to future fundraising events. Aimee's background means she is firmly connected to the values and ethos of Donations With A Difference and will work compassionately with the families we support.

Fundraiser

Paul Tingey

Along with Alan, Paul co-created Donations With A Difference. He was extremely delighted when the charity became registered, it was another dream that became a reality. He enjoys playing football, running local comedy nights and even has his own slot on a local radio station. Paul even manages time to fit in being a father!

Dan Dyer
Information Technology

Dan Dyer

Dan is an experienced software developer who runs his own mobile app development company. He takes care of the technology requirements of Donations With A Difference, including writing the software that powers our Super10 competition and the rest of this website. Away from the computer Dan enjoys playing football and touch rugby, and watching most sports.

Nick Gretton
Graphic Designer

Nick Gretton

Nick is a graphic designer and photographic retoucher who has worked in the industry since 1997. Outside of work he can be found at his second home, the cinema, two or three times a week or running many miles early in the mornings. In April 2013 he ran his first marathon for charity… and he might do another.
