Donations With A Difference is a charitable grant-making trust (reg. charity no. 1157927) that works to alleviate physical impairment, poor mental health, and homelessness in Kent. We run many events and competitions throughout the year to raise money to fund our grants. In 2018 we raised over £47K and paid out £45K. With your help, we aim to be able to fund in excess of £50K in grants in 2019.
After four years in a second-hand cot-style bed, Archie Page, then 6, who suffers from quadriplegic cerebral palsy, had completely outgrown the bed originally provided by the NHS. The more Archie grew the more he was hurting himself on the sides of the cot and getting his limbs caught down the sides. His parents found it more and more difficult to use but as his bed was still deemed 'usable' by the NHS their requests for a replacement were continually declined.
